As a grantee of the Scientific Mobility Program of Brazil (Science Without Borders), Gustavo worked as a research assistant for Dr. Terry Ring on a project at the Idaho National Laboratory in collaboration with the University of Utah. The project was dedicated to the construction of a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) reactor, and Gustavo provided support in the development and construction of the reactor.
